Kenilworth Castle

Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse

STEEPLECHASING has taken place at Stratford Racecourse since 1755. Nowadays, we have fifteen meetings a year, most of which take place within the summer months. Equipped with a new glass-fronted Grandstand (opened in 1997) and having won a major award for the care of the racetrack, we are proud to be in the top flight of Britain's smaller courses.

Shakespear's Grave / Holy Trinity Church

No visit to Stratford-upon-Avon would be complete without stopping off at Holy Trinity Church, where in the Chancel you will be able to see the graves of William Shakespeare, Anne Hathaway, Thomas Nash, Dr John Hall and his wife Susanne Shakespeare. Also to be seen are a fine set of 15th C Misericords and an ancient chained blue bible.
